Harvest Time???

What a crazy, rainy, snowy, wet, cold, windy, series of months we have had.  Since September we have had too much moisture to harvest the corn.  It happened one other time in the last ten years, that time we were the only ones to have corn standing all winter.  Our yield was surprisingly decent considering that we fed the deer, raccoons, skunks and all kinds of birds all winter long.

This year, we aren't the only ones with corn still standing.  This is the west side and you can see that it is wind blown and starting to fall.
This field is directly west of the above field, so this is the east side and it is not so wind blown.
And, big ruts from a failed attempt at getting the combine in the field.

And, another neighbors field.  East side, stalks tipping over.

Lastly, a view of our field.  No tassels, no leaves, just ears and stalks still standing.  Here's hoping to warm, dry days so we can get in the field and get this harvested!

Apple Blossoms

Kind of past their prime, but I was glad I made it out to photograph them.
