It Could'a Been a Good Ride

The weather was perfect, the river was calm and I thought I had a brilliant idea. A fall afternoon boat ride!
Seemed like a wonderful time to launch the neglected boat.
First go round, Boyd and Laddie and Jazmin and I all headed out.  The dogs kept shifting position and Boyd had to be the counter balance.
I finally got the oars settled and we headed up stream only to hear the goats bleating through the tall weeds.  Seems they were insistent on coming along.
I rowed us back to shore and Boyd hopped out.
So, now the two dogs and I tried again.
I struggled with the oars, the dogs wouldn't settle down and I decided it was not the peaceful and relaxing adventure I had hoped it would be.  So, I came back to the bank and called it quits!
The 20 minutes or so I was out on the water had moments of beauty.

Next time, I think I will just take myself and Boyd.  All 4-legged creatures will be left behind.

From Boyd's Phone - Summer 2017

You just never know what you will find on Boyd's iPhone.   Here is a snapshot of the summer according to Boyd.

 The solar eclipse.

No, I don't remember why the tip of my nose is dirty.
Or where this could have come from!
And, then the random texted images that just make me laugh.  Bonus that this shot includes Boyd's favorite president. :)

Boyd's Phone - Laddie

Photos of Laddie off of Boyd's phone.

The pup can frequently be found curled up with Boyd in the LaZy-Boy.
 Or at his feet.
Or taking up all the space in the chair.
Or next to Jazmin in the warm sunlight.

And, a video which includes a very short-lived football toy.

Leaf Pile

My husband thought I was crazy when I told him I was going to rake up a pile of leaves to jump in.  Seems I can't go anywhere with out the dogs and goats following, so they got to play also.
 Walnut leaves smell SO GOOD!

They also make a really soft pile.
