Meet Belle
She's says she's staying. She's actually rather intimidating as you can tell by the photo.
She's really not as vile and devilish as she appears. Even though Boyd originally named her Beelzebub. Here are a few shots where she looks a bit sweeter. It is really difficult to get a good photo of her because she heads straight for the lens every time.
She showed up one shivering cold Saturday night and purred and rubbed against Boyd's legs. We gave her some tuna fish and wished her safe travels.
We were kind of surprised to see her still here and alive the next morning.
She loves Boyd as you can see. He said that if she stayed the week, we would take her to the vet and make sure she was spayed and let her stay. Actually, we weren't certain whether she was a she or a he until the vet confirmed my guess. The bonus of the $133 vet visit??? She is already spayed. She was also surprisingly healthy aside from the small fact she was a skeleton of a cat from starvation.
Don't worry, she eats plenty. She demands to have the first bowl of food each morning and will swat any cat who tries to prove otherwise. She's fattening up and always underfoot. After I clipped and combed out the multitude of burrs, she looks
amazing. She has a gorgeous, thick black coat and very green eyes.
She loves to crawl along your shoulders.
And doesn't even seem phased by the dogs. I think they are just as confused. Usually the dogs and cats give each other ample space around this farm. Don't know what will happen when spring rolls around and Belle actually steps foot outside again. She hasn't left the old house since she found out its amenities include a heated pad and litter box, not to mention the fresh water and tasty cat food.
So, we're back to three cats around here. 3 cats, 2 dogs and 5 goats. I think it is time to add a llama. :)
