Black and White

This week we have to take a picture that will either look as good as or better than the color version.  So far, this is what I found. Yes, I plan on taking more this week, but ...  just in case. 

I think I have missed the mark because I like the color versions. 

April 1st

 It's April already.  I have managed to plant tomatoes, peas, lettuce, spinach, radishes, cabbage, etc.  I am trying out old tires as a raised bed.  

 Bud is still watching his goats. The goats are enjoying the weeds that have grown taller thanks to the sometimes warmer weather. Jasmin has found the first snake.  The best part is she found it on a day Laura was along for the walk, just for her.  Jasmin has also treed her first turkeys of the season.  The turkey flew across the river into a tree and Boyd was sure Jasmin was going to swim across to get it, but thankfully she stayed on her side of the river.

 Gilligan still demands his time inside with us at night.  Satan is also out a lot more.

 The other day Boyd found this partially consumed pheasant underneath his Bronco.  He made up a great CSI Corinne blog post, but would share it with me when I was near the computer. 

 Don't know what ate it, but I have seen more pheasants lately.  Just today I spooked out a rooster myself. That made for the second one I saw today.

Shallow Depth of Field Round 1

I need your help!  Everyone, please! Even those of you who check my blog anonymously!  I am taking my first photography class.  Even if it is just a local community course, I am excited to learn new things.   Our first assignment is to practice taking pictures with a shallow depth of field.  I do plan on taking some new photos this week, but until then, I rounded up some I have taken in the past and I need your opinion. Everybody!  Really!  PLEASE HELP!  You are free to comment anonymously, but please comment!  Just type in the number below the photo of the ones that really get your attention, the ones that are most visually appealing.  Ask your friends and family or random people off the street to add their choices.  Is that enough pleading to get you to help?  Good!  Here they are.
