Yaquina Head & Lighthouse

Yaquina Head Lighthouse was a fun stop also.
To get a tour of the lighthouse, you must sign up in person at the visitor center, which opens at 10:00 am.  Apparently, you have to get there right when they open to even have a chance at a tour.  The tours last an hour and include a man dressed at a head light keeper who takes his job very seriously!
We explored the tide pools below the lighthouse while we waited for our tour to begin.

It was gorgeous!  Seems to be a common theme with all the Oregon Coasts stops we made on our trip.

Even a disgustingly poop covered rock.

This place by far had the most seals of any of our stops.

So many stairs!

The stairs down to the tide pools.  This was Cobble Beach and those cobblestones were so hard to walk on!

  1. You seriously take the best pictures! The first one of the lighthouse needs to be made into a poster or a giant canvas and hung up on my wall! Thanks for taking a million for me to look at all the time! (:
