Watering Corn
First step, measure out the dikes and siphon tube pits.
Mark the dikes with stakes and then scrape out the spots for the dikes.Of course, you have to switch steel toes for hip waders.
Then send the water down the ditch between the fields.
Superfluous hay field shot.
Check that the tubes are running and not plugged up with moss.
Then walk out through the corn to check that it made it to the bottom of the field.
Can you spot him in the picture?
How about this one? Do you see the farmer and his shovel?
Then it is time to move the tubes to the next section.
Just showing the dike.
Starting the tubes.
Digging a siphon tube pit.
Can you see the patch on his boot?
Poor, muddy truck!
Scoping things out at the canal.
This is where the run off ends up.
