So, Before the Month Ends

Thought I would share the menagerie of photos found on my iPhone before this month ends.
Let's start with a goat eating my coat!  Yes, I was wearing it.  Yes, I realize most normal people wouldn't allow a goat to nibble their coat.

 Sage keeps us entertained.
The snow has melted off the hill and I am once again doing my back therapy.
With all the melting snow, we had a deep mucky puddle right in front of the dog gate/food bin area.  I thought I was capable of scooping some gravel in my tractor's bucket and driving out of the field.  NOPE!  Once I got stuck, back rear wheel off the ground - opposite right front tire buried in the dead furrow, I tried to use the bucket to lift myself out.  I have seen Boyd do it before with the back hoe. He just puts the bucket down, lifts the front tires off the ground and drives a short way backwards.  I couldn't do it even though I sacrificed my load trying.  Boyd came out and within minutes had me completely unstuck doing exactly what I was trying to accomplish.  I suppose I would get better with more practice, but that is something I don't want to practice.
Ultimately, it was MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!  At least there is a little substance underfoot.
Then this happened.  I told some people that I was playing head butting games with my goat and they got out of hand.  They BELIEVED me!  How pathetic do people think I am, really?  The boring true story is that I dropped a surge strip on my eye trying to fix my computer cords.
During the recent thaw, our yard was one huge ice sheet!  It really wasn't safe to go anywhere without the help of snow shoes and the big, ice grabbing cleats underneath.

Now, all the ice you see in these photos has turned to MUD!
Boyd was great to walk the dog everyday.  Once and a while I would join in on the adventure.  On this day, Jasmine tree'd a pheasant.

And, of course, the cats get a little bit of attention each night.
