Random - Summer 2021

Stinky Springs had a makeover!  Definitely an improvement over the graffiti messages sprawled on the walls previously.

Not even sure what this is... maybe a picture of the full moon?
A quick trip to the poppies long after they were at the height of their glory.

Boyd and his Laddie watching the ditch burn and the clouds roll by.

Turkey vultures appeared one day and one day only.

I don't know... when he gets himself in these tight spots, he is at least willing to ask me to bring him the needed tools.
Such huge sunflowers this year.  I need to take a photo of the one out the back door - it's massive.  This one is in the garden.
Dogs are always willing to help irrigate.
Proof we actually made it to the fair this year.

What in the world is going on with this egg?

December 27th

We took a walk around the river today and invited the Adams' dogs to join us.

Boyd spotted a fox, a backhoe and people walking on the other side.
This is the same dark fox my dogs chased a couple of mornings ago.

I burned a bunch of left over boxes and dog food bags.

And, the best part of the day, some time at Stinky Springs.  Just a 20 minute soak does WONDERS for my body.

Ahhh, so worth the trouble and smell. :)

Taking Time Off

I have tried hard to take things easy during my time off.  So far I have read three books.  Since I never seem to find time to read otherwise, this is significant.

I took a bow out for my dad and sister's grave.  My mom had already placed flowers.
Then I headed to Stinky Springs for some therapy.  My family thinks I am crazy, but it totally makes my joints feel so much better and has decreased the pain in my hip.

Thanks to some amateur artists,  the view gives you something to think about.

And, I gave up my grinchy ways and helped Boyd decorate the yard for Christmas.

East Loop Golden Spike Monument

We stopped at the big fill on the way out and took the east loop on the way back home.  Both are easy and worth the time.

 China man's arch.

We saved the best for last and stopped to take a good whiff of Stinky Springs.
