Light Party #4 White Globe

Same idea, solid color lights.

Light Party #3 Making a Globe

For this we spun a hula hoop with lights taped to it.  Kind of cool!!!
The difference in image results has to do with exposure time.

Light Party #2 Drawing with Light

Light Party #1 Haylee in a Globe

A few of us got together to practice more light painting.
Haylee, Morgan and Jess were kind enough to assist us.

We tried to make it look like Haylee was inside the globe.  We struggled.  We had to time it just right, Haylee posing then moving out of the shot and the globe being drawn by swinging a light on a string.
 Lots of failed attempts.

 Not so bad!

E-mail #2 & 3

The results:

The Carnage:
We have an all electric house, so our only cooling option is window mount or this new floor cooler.
Long story, but it doesn't work all that great.  At least not as great as our old on that was super heavy and super loud.  It also took a tractor, the two of us and a whole lot of praying on my part that it didn't land on one of us and squash us.
We'll see if this one will suffice.  There are already rumblings from Boyd that we need to put the old on in and use BOTH!!!

E-mail #1: So, how's your day going?

Today, I would like to introduce you to a new type of post.  Let's just call it what it is.  The Boyd Reeder e-mails turned blog post.  I occasionally get these e-mails from Boyd that consist of a simple subject message and a photo.

I just know you will enjoy them.

This one was entitled...

So, how's your day going?

Yes, that is the 4-wheeler and sprayer hanging on by a tread on the side of the bank right above a small stream that leads in to the Bear River.    Boyd was spraying when he got too confident and too close to the edge.   And, he had an audience.  Some dude was across the river fishing and saw the whole thing.  He offered to help, but there wasn't really much he could do across the water.
The sprayer did slide off the back and send spray everywhere.  Boyd got it all situated back on and headed up the hill to get the back hoe.   All is well now.  Let's hope the weeds die after all that trouble!

I Smell A Rat

It's actually only the bottom half of a decomposing rat, but man it had a strong smell.
Jasmin smelled this thing from far, far away.  We were calmly walking along the road and she took off right out in the middle of the safflower.  She must have smelled it the whole way, because she definitely had a purpose in her direction.  Next thing we know, she is rolling in something.  After that, we just let her be.  When she finally met back up with us she had this lovely treasure in her mouth.
I had to bribe both she and Buddy with a great treat so I could snag it away and dispose of it.
