Pelicans at the Farm
The pelicans have decided to hang out around here lately. We've had upwards of thirty or so just at the bottom of the hill by the big tree.
Corn Harvest 2017
After waiting all winter long for the conditions to be just right, we finally were able to get the corn off around the 10th of May.
The yield was decent and weighed in well. I told Boyd it was his reward for providing food to the deer, raccoons, skunks, pheasants and so many other critters through the hard, snowy winter.
It really was a blessing to get it off so smoothly. Things didn't seem to go as well for others nearby.
I suppose this pheasant is watching in horror as his dinner plate is being cleared.
This is supposed to be a look of happiness.
