Chris and Jess

I knew Jess back in the day when she was in Young Women's in my ward.  She made me laugh and I loved her energy.  We became good friends and thanks to Facebook, I still keep in contact with her.
It has been quite a few years since our Willard days and she is soon going to marry again.
I am happy to say that she let me take her engagement photos.  I was so hoping they would turn out decent.
They came out to the farm one cold afternoon and were very good sports.

Enjoying the Melt

 The sun is out.

 The dogs are digging up mice and finding birds and disappearing for hours on end.

 The herb garden is poking through the snow.

 My hammock frame is cleared out long enough to hang the hammock.

 Flora is still working on getting rid of her winter coat.

 Just keep on shining sun!

Big, Blue Sky

A very welcome sight, indeed.

A Sure Sign of Spring

There one sign of spring you can bet money on...

 When the fluffy, downy coat on the goats turns shaggy and raggy, you can count on things warming up for good.

I noticed their coats looking all scraggily about a week ago, it also makes them look like they have lost weight over night.  But the obvious sign is what you can see stuck on the end of the horns.

The more they scratch, the more they get out of their coat, the cooler they feel.

Yep. Spring is coming.

Before

People take before and after pictures for all kinds of reasons.

 I decided I would take some before pictures of the first of March and hopefully the after pictures at the end of March have a lot less snow, icicles and frost.

 If you look carefully, you might be able to find the pheasant in the photo right below.

 The snow can be beautiful, but enough is ENOUGH!

 Maybe the flowers will be greening up.

 The two roosters in the photo below were fighting for about 15 minutes.

 Still can't plant my peas.

 Bring on the sun, it's got a big job to do!
