He loves eating at El Toro Viejo. Give the choice, he chooses Cilantro Chicken every time.
He also likes getting a breakfast burrito, usually at the Golden Spike in Corinne. Then he burns the paper bag. And, sometimes, he accidentally also burns the back yard.
We have a tank of sorts in our lawn. Many years ago Boyd built a "lid" to make it safe. Safe until one day he sat down on it and almost fell in and down the 10 some odd feet of the round tank. Too scary! The wood had rotted over time. Lucky for all of us, he has since rebuilt it.
We also paid off a large farm debt to one of Boyd's siblings. Long story that dates back to settling his mother's estate, but a significant milestone to have accomplished. During the "discussions" with the accountant and the lawyer and all the family members way back then, someone made the comment that Boyd needed to be prepared to drive the same truck for the next ten years. Sure enough! He still does and we drove the truck to finalize the documents as proof.
Here he is with his '91 Ford F150 and holding the pay off check and documents about eleven years after the initial meetings.
He is a bit more gray and the truck a bit more rusted, but they are still farming together.
