Um, Yeah...

Just a result of a new app I found for free.
Too crazy??
Jasmin dropped this at my feet the other night.  Such a sweet gift.  I don't know where she finds them or how she manages to carry the squirming things in her mouth.
The water is down enough that you can begin to see the bank again.
Somewhere, on a branch, hiding out is a squirrel that my dogs tree'd.  Can you see it?
How about now?
Well, it's there.  The dogs were trying to climb the tree and then stopped when I started filming.  Oh, well.  The squirrel ended up dying of lead poisoning.  Surprising how many things on this farm suffer from that malady.
And, since sunset shots have been limited by the weather for months now, here is a quick one taken with the phone camera.  P.S. So were the videos above.  I really need to start hauling my cameras with me I guess.

No More Gurgling!

We finally got the septic tank and drain pipes fixed.  What a happy day!  We even hooked up the old house to the system just in case.  The drain pipes were so old they were made of paper with some sort of a waxy coating.  They were practically collapsed which explains why every thing didn't work.  It is great not to have to schedule laundry, showers, dishes...
Boyd took all the pictures.  I missed the whole event, you know, with the whole having a job issue.   Boyd even got to drive his own backhoe and fill in the trench with gravel.

My favorite photo.

This n' That

Photos By Boyd (except the last two).   Good thing I have a blog assistant.

Walking right down the driveway like she doesn't have a care in the world.

The guys who dropped off a mower for Boyd to fix left their trash, too. That's okay because I charge more for trash pick up than Boyd does for repairs.
Since the tractor can't get out into the field to plant, the field came to the tractor.    These little guys are growing right inside the tractor.  Now you know why I call it my solar-powered office.  It is nice and toasty inside.  I should start my tomatoes in the cab.

Poor dogs have to wait while Boyd torments them before he lets them out.  He makes them sit patiently before he will open the gate.

I think this is Buddy's way of flipping off Boyd.  Good dog!
We just refilled the tank.  500 gallons times $3.???     Anyone want to contribute to the fuel fund?
It's supposed to snow tonight.  Why not?  Who needs sunshine and warm weather this time of year?
It seems to be hovering over Willard.
The flood waters have receded, for now.  It's gonna be crazy when the snow actually melts!
