Lights on our tree.  I was playing around with shutter speed and exposure last night.

 This morning's sunrise.  Interesting light pattern over the mountain.

Learned Something New

The technology to do this has been around since the 90's, but I just learned how to make it work today.  Proud of myself.  Don't you love the light?   Boyd is walking towards the setting sun.  No editing was done to these photos, except making them much smaller so the GIF would work.  Make sure to notice the dogs, too.   You will probably have to click on the image and wait a second or two to make it work.

Winter Solstice

 My favorite time of the year.

 And the sun broke through the inversion and joined in the celebration.

 I also got home soon enough to take a walk before dark.

 Well, it was getting dark, but we still had enough light to see our way.

Too lazy to carry the real camera, so the iPhone had to do.

 Looking forward to 6 more months of gaining light!
