Mid-December Update

Things around here have been busy, but predictable.

We still have dogs digging big holes where they shouldn't.
Digging a tunnel in the side of the irrigation ditch is a big no-no.  My dogs aren't the only ones digging around here,  even the neighbor dogs are in our fields daily looking for mice and causing trouble.

Somewhere hidden in these pictures is a black and white dog.  Can you find him?
The picture below has a yellow dog somewhere.
Seems that the most interesting things require digging a hole and sticking in your head and shoulders.

The goats are doing well.  They still haven't poofed.  I don't know what that means for the rest of winter.
They enjoyed quite a few pumpkins this fall.  Notice how they can eat all the flesh out of the middle and leave just the shell.

We are all enjoying the warmer temperatures.  It makes the days getting darker so much easier to bear!

A Makeover

It seems that the dog/goat pen, chicken coop and yard aren't the only thing to get new lights for Christmas.
One of the tractors now has additional lights that brighten directly in front and low to the ground.  Plus, this same tractor got a new seat, too.
Lucky tractor!
We have two tractors of the same model.  Since the other tractor had the lights and Boyd knew how much better it was to see, this tractor got an upgrade.
Turns out is was as much work as my husband thought it would be.  Good thing he is resourceful and talented.

Happy 40th Anniversary

Happy 40th anniversary to us!

Only two more years and we will celebrate our 50th!

Here are a few photos of our wedding day.  It was also un-seasonly warm that day,  just like it has been the last few weeks.

This one is my husband's favorite because I totally obscure him in the photo.  So Rude!

You're Missing

I sometimes get messages from Boyd letting me know what I'm missing while I'm at work. The other day I missed out on some gorgeous light.
Good thing he took a couple of pictures for me.

What I Really Want For Christmas

I've changed my mind.  I don't really want electricity for Christmas.

Instead, I want a ...

We went to Mountain View Nursery in Elwood for their Santa Night.
There were plenty of people, but only one camel.

 One donkey.
 Quite a few goats.

 Beautiful poinsettias.

 Two amazing trees.

 A gorgeous mantle.
But only one camel.  And, it wasn't for sale.  :(
